Woke up bright and early for the @pedalheadscycles shop ride. Feeling a little tight in the chest, so with my pericarditis flaring up last week post-Velothon I decided to go for a gentler solo ride out to Scarborough where I could focus on keeping my heart rate in a lower range, rather than keeping pace with the squad. Was rewarded with a beautiful crisp morning and fantastic views our over a still Moreton Bay. I even got to join the PedalHeads Inter 2 group for about 10 seconds as they passed me in Scarborough 😜

Weather forecasts were threatening rain this morning so ducked out a little earlier to get in my morning ride. Turned out to be great conditions, and gradually increasing my (mostly) daily distance and pace.

Signed up for the 100km @cycleofgiving ride in a few weeks - will be the furthest I’ve ridden in one stretch in well over a year. Following up with Ipswich 100 ‘Imperial’ ride (169km) and the Great Brisbane Bike Ride in April and the three-day @velothonaus in July.
