Woke up bright and early for the @pedalheadscycles shop ride. Feeling a little tight in the chest, so with my pericarditis flaring up last week post-Velothon I decided to go for a gentler solo ride out to Scarborough where I could focus on keeping my heart rate in a lower range, rather than keeping pace with the squad. Was rewarded with a beautiful crisp morning and fantastic views our over a still Moreton Bay. I even got to join the PedalHeads Inter 2 group for about 10 seconds as they passed me in Scarborough 😜

Great day out riding on the Sunshine Coast for the 2018 @velothonaus. Gutted that I had to drop my 3 day entry down to the 1 day 90km distance, but still stoked to have taken part. Such a great event - organisation was slick as. Will definitely be back next year to smash the full 3 day event - training starts tomorrow (or maybe Tuesday 😜) Side note: for some reason my Garmin managed to lose 1km over the course of the ride - my Apple Watch managed to get the whole 90km just fine though 🤔
