Been a bit slack with the cycling recently, and with the @cycleofgiving 100km ride tomorrow I figured I should get out for a spin this morning. Up early doors to take a look at how the groundwork’s for the new @universityofthesunshinecoast Petrie campus are coming along. On the subject of tomorrow’s charity ride, the guys over at @cycleofgiving and @tpchfoundation experienced a major outage of their registration/donation website earlier this week (maybe I should give them my business card for next year!) which has impacted their fundraising targets. Weather forecasts were threatening rain this morning so ducked out a little earlier to get in my morning ride. Turned out to be great conditions, and gradually increasing my (mostly) daily distance and pace. Signed up for the 100km @cycleofgiving ride in a few weeks - will be the furthest I’ve ridden in one stretch in well over a year. Following up with Ipswich 100 ‘Imperial’ ride (169km) and the Great Brisbane Bike Ride in April and the three-day @velothonaus in July.
