Dust, mud, lizards, gravel and yoga. . Today I started a five week training block leading up to the @ontheedgeevents Kooralbyn MTB Endurance Series. Kicked things off with a two hour XC slog round the 7km training loop I’ve scoped out at the trails up at @northharbourliving. . Faired better than expected, but still a heap of work to be done over the coming weeks. . Added an extra couple hundred metres onto each lap to avoid the Sunday morning yoga in the heritage park - can’t imagine my sweaty, puffing form whizzing past every twenty minutes would have helped anyone’s Downward Facing Dog 😳 . #fromwhereiride #outsideisfree #cyclist #cyclistlife #mountainbiking #trainingwithpurpose #wymtm

Stoked to have found these @tastinz Smooshed Wholefood Balls at my local @aldiaustralia store. For the past few weeks they have been my go to for nutrition whilst out on the bike. Delicious, compact, clean energy - I find I digest them much better than any energy gels. Over the last couple of months I really got into tracking my activity using my Apple Watch - especially since I was limited with the amount of exercise I could do (basically, just walking the dogs). I’ve got to admit, after a while ‘closing my rings’ became something of an obsession - Apple has got this gamification thing down pat!

Happy to end out the year with my first perfect month - let’s see if I can keep it up in 2019!
