Starting the year on the right foot - woke up hangover- and kid-less this morning so the wife and decided to go for an early morning New Year ride. Whilst 2016 was all about professional gains, this new year will be focussing on work-life balance. More quality time with the kids and more time spent keeping fit and healthy. Not getting any younger, and these past couple of years I've not exactly been trying to stay in shape. Kids - and lack of time - are a lazy (sic) excuse, but no more! Turning over the calendar is always a good excuse to make resolutions and aspire to be better or do more. Personally, 2016 will be the year of major fitness gains - whilst I dare say this isn't the most unfit I've been, this has been a busy/hectic/life-changing year and I haven't always made time to keep in shape, and I'm feeling the worse for it. I have the @cootthaburn in a month and a half and I really need to blitz the training between now and then. It will mean some lifestyle changes to make the time to fit everything in, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
